  • 1 large Tomato
  • 1 to 2 Calamari (squid)
  • 250 grams Pasta
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper or regular pepper
  • 1 Basil (fresh or dried)
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 boil in a pot Hot water (salted)

How to Make Pasta with Calamari

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Pasta with Calamari in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • While the water for the pasta is boiling, cut the calamari into edible sizes. Remove but do not throw out the guts.
  • Step 2
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the garlic. Add tomato and dried basil, and continue to sauté.
  • Step 3
  • Add the calamari guts when the tomato starts to break apart. When the pasta is just about finished, add the calamari into the pan.
  • Step 4
  • Add freshly cooked pasta into the pan and saute lightly as you toss with the sauce. Add fresh basil to finish. You can omit the fresh basil if you want.
