  • 1 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter (I used crunchy for more texture )
  • 4 oz soften butter
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup jam/jelly (depending on where your from)

How to Make PB+J Cookies

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make PB+J Cookies in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • line a tray with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180°c/350°f
  • Step 2
  • sieve flour, baking powder, bicarb and salt together
  • Step 3
  • beat butter and peanut butter together. add both sugars and beat until creamy texture. add the egg and vanilla extract then combine
  • Step 4
  • fold in the dry ingredients with the wet until all lumps are gone
  • Step 5
  • using a teaspoon amount of mixture, divide up until all mixture on tray but spaced apart. use another lined tray if you need
  • Step 6
  • bake in oven for ten minutes. remove and carefully press down the centre with the back of a teaspoon. put back in the oven for another 6-7 minutes until they are slightly golden on the edges. place in a wire rack to cool
  • Step 7
  • while the cookies are cooling, warm the jam in a pan until loose and runny. carefully spoon the jam into the wells of the cookies and leave to cool until the jam has set
