Ingredients: Perfect Crockpot Roast

  • 3 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1 salt
  • 1 ground black pepper
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 packages brown gravy mix
  • 1 box beef stock
  • 2 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

How to Make Perfect Crockpot Roast

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Perfect Crockpot Roast in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Chop garlic cloves and onion, place in bowl. Optional: cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight so their ready for the morning.
  • Step 2
  • Trim fat from roast. Salt and pepper both sides generously. Optional: place in zip lock bag and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 3
  • Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, put onions and garlic in. Stir occasionally.
  • Step 4
  • Meanwhile, take roast out and cover with all purpose flour.
  • Step 5
  • When onions and garlic are soft, place floured roast in pan and brown all sides.
  • Step 6
  • Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl/cup whisk together beef stock and brown gravy mix. Pour about 1/2 inch of liquid into Crockpot.
  • Step 7
  • Once roast is browned on all sides add it and the onion/garlic mix to the crockpot
  • Step 8
  • Pour gravy/stock mix on top and add all remaining ingredients to crockpot. Mix together and try to cover as much of the roast as possible.
  • Step 9
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours stirring every couple hours (if you can) Once cooked, break roast apart in crockpot. Enjoy! (Optional: pair with mashed potatoes and homemade gravy [also on my page])
