Ingredients: Perogie Casserole

  • 1 lb lasagna noodles, cooked and cooled
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, or margarine
  • 2 large onion, chopped
  • 12 potato, boiled cooled and mashed. (can sub 1 box instant potato)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 lb grated cheese (I usually use cheddar)
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Perogie Casserole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Step 2
  • Cook lasagna noodles
  • Step 3
  • While pasta is boiling begin to sautee onion in butter
  • Step 4
  • Mix mashed potato with milk half the onions, and grated cheese till creamy
  • Step 5
  • Layer a lasagna pan with noodles, and potato mixture alternating every other layer until all potato and noodles are used, ending with noodles.
  • Step 6
  • Pour remaining onions and butter over casserole, cover, and bake for 30-45 min.
  • Step 7
  • Let cool before digging in!
