Prepare the ingredients before making Phad Thai in your home. Then, follow these steps below to serve Phad Thai for your family or friends.

Ingredients: Phad Thai

  • 300 grams Chicken thigh, into strips
  • 180 grams Rice noodle, cooked
  • 3/4 cup Spring onion, sliced diagonally
  • 100 grams Bean sprouts
  • 1/3 cup Rough chopped peanuts, toasted
  • 1/3 cup Sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish suace
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • Zest of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind purée
  • 2 tbsp Peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp Chopped chilli
  • 2 Eggs, whisked
  • 1/2 cup Mint, chopped
  • Peanut oil for cooking
  • to taste Salt and pepper

How to Make Phad Thai

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Phad Thai in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Throw chilli sauce, tamerind purée, lemon juice and rind, peanut butter and fish sauce into a jar and shake well to combine.
  • Step 2
  • Fry chicken and chilli in wok until lightly browned on high heat.
  • Step 3
  • Add eggs and stir constantly until well scrambled in with chicken.
  • Step 4
  • Lower temp and add sauce, cook for a couple of minutes stirring well.
  • Step 5
  • Throw in noodles, sprouts,mint, spring onions and toasted peanuts- (set aside some onion and mint to garnish)mix well and heat through.
  • Step 6
  • Serve with a slice of lemon- garnish with some mint, spring onion and if you're really brave, some sliced chilli. Yuuuuum!! Serves around 4. Really really good- Enjoy!
