  • 3 bell peppers of choice (green, red, yellow or orange) sliced into strips
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced into strips
  • 1 pkg. sliced mushrooms, fresh
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeno slices
  • 1-1 1/2 lb steak strips
  • 2 cups white rice, uncooked
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 8 slices provolone cheese OR 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

How to Make Philly Cheesesteak Rice Dinner

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Philly Cheesesteak Rice Dinner in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Place steak strips in med size pot and brown in oil until pink is gone. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add in bell pepper, onion, mushroom and jalapeƱo slices and continue to cook just until crisp is out of veggies and they have slightly softened.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, place rice in large pot with chicken stock and cook as directed on package.
  • Step 3
  • Drain off all juices from your veggie / meat mixture. Lay out on a large baking sheet with raised edges. Cover with cheese. Place under oven broiler just until cheese is melted.
  • Step 4
  • Serve over cooked rice. Enjoy!
