  • 500 ml Vinegar
  • 3 Onions
  • 10 ml Mixed Pickling Spice
  • 15 ml Maizena
  • 1 ml Curry Powder
  • 3 ml Cayenne Pepper
  • 375 ml Water (250ml & 125ml)
  • 10 ml Turmeric
  • 15 ml Sugar

How to Make Pickled Fish

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Pickled Fish in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Fry hake in batter until golden
  • Step 2
  • Boil sliced onions in vinegar, 250ml water & 10ml pickling spice for 5min
  • Step 3
  • Add the remaining dry ingredients with another 125ml water and simmer for 3 minutes
  • Step 4
  • Pour mixture over fish & allow to stand for 2-3 days
