  • broth
  • 1 lb smoked ham with bone and skin
  • 2 tbsp sazon seasonings

  • 2 tbsp pimento peppers
  • 2 tbsp chopped jalapeƱo peppers
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 3 1/2 quart water

How to Make Pinto beans

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Pinto beans in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Boil the water slice the ham add all the broth ingredients
  • Step 2
  • Bring back to boil while thats going on check beans for bad ones and stones rinse the beans
  • Step 3
  • When boiling add beans bring back to boil let boil 10 minutes covered
  • Step 4
  • Turn down heat let them simmer about 2 and a half hours keep covered till ready to eat hope you enjoy
  • Step 5
  • Serve with rice and cornbread
