  • 5 Polish sausages; sliced
  • 2 cup sauerkraut
  • 1 large yellow onion; medium slice
  • 1 yellow bell pepper; medium slice
  • 1 red bell pepper; medium slice
  • 5 clove garlic; minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 large pinch kosher salt and black pepper
  • 1 vegetable oil; as needed

How to Make Polish & Sauerkraut Saute

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Polish & Sauerkraut Saute in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large pot. Add sausage and bell peppers. Season. Stir when first side of sausage is caramelized. Add sauerkraut. Stir. After 2 minutes, add garlic. Saute until caramelized.
  • Step 2
  • Add chicken stock. Reduce by 3/4. Serve.
  • Step 3
  • Variations; Roasted bell peppers, add extra stock to make it a stew, potatoes, paprika, shallots, celery, bacon, habanero, parsely, beer, celery root or seeds, fennel, fennel seed
