  • 1 Pomfret
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1 salt to taste

How to Make Pomfret Rechado

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Pomfret Rechado in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Wash, clean and slit the fish on either side of the bone to make 2 deep pockets.
  • Step 2
  • Rub salt and keep it aside for 5 mins.
  • Step 3
  • Mix chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, sugar, vinegar and lime juice to form a smooth paste.
  • Step 4
  • Fill the fish pockets with the masala paste and keep it 5-10 mins.
  • Step 5
  • Add oil in a pan and shallow fry the fish both sides till it is cooked well. Make sure to keep it on low flame to avoid the masala from burning.
  • Step 6
  • Your tasty and juicy pomfret is ready to eat. Garnish with chopped corriander.
