  • 1 * water or stock in the amount that the Bear Creek soup starters call for
  • 1/4 packages bacon
  • 2 lb potatoes, I always the Maine ones, peeled, and cut in quarters
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pints sour cream
  • 1 mini boule loaves, for individual servings

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Potato bacon cheddar Soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Place all ingredients except the bacon into a crockpot.
  • Step 2
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high 3-4 hours.
  • Step 3
  • During the last 20 min or so of the cooking time, cook the bacon until crispy (1 min per slice in the microwave works for me, b/c I am usually doing this totally last minute!) and add to crockpot.
  • Step 4
  • Hollow out mini boule loaf, add soup, and dig in!!
