  • 4 skinless mahimahi filets
  • 4 very thin slices prosciutto
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 12 small fresh sage leaves
  • 2 tsp sherry

How to Make Prosciutto wrapped mahimahi

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Prosciutto wrapped mahimahi in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 425°F
  • Step 2
  • Wrap each filet with a slice of prosciutto
  • Step 3
  • Heat a large ovenproof skillet over medium high heat until very hot. Add oil to pan, swirl to coat. Add fish, top side down.
  • Step 4
  • Cook 2-3 minutes until prosciutto is lightly browned. Turn and repeat.
  • Step 5
  • Transfer skillet to oven and bake at 425°F for 5 mins
  • Step 6
  • Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Cook for 2 mins until butter begins to brown. Add sage and remove pan from heat. Stir in sherry, and 1/8 tsp each salt and pepper.
  • Step 7
  • Arrange fish on plates, spoon sage and butter sauce over fish, and serve immediately
