  • 500 grams Pumpkin Cubes
  • 215 ml Self Raising Flour
  • 35 ml Sugar
  • 3 ml Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 ml Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Oil (For Frying)

How to Make Pumpkin Fritters

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Pumpkin Fritters in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Boil pumpkin cubes untill soft, drain and then mash.
  • Step 2
  • Add the flour, salt and egg to the pumpkin and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 3
  • In a seperate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
  • Step 4
  • Poor enough oil into a pan for deep frying and heat.
  • Step 5
  • Scoop up heaped tablespoons of batter and drop it into the pan (be careful not too add them too close together).
  • Step 6
  • Fry untill firm and golden brown on the underside (bubbles will form around the edges and on top) and then flip over to fry the other side.
  • Step 7
  • Put the fritters on paper towels to help drain the oil and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mix.
