Ingredients: Pumpkin Oatmeal

  • 1 cup regular oatmeal or rolled mixed grains
  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract (I add extra)
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (canned pure pumpkin)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk (or regular soy or rice milk)
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp flaxseed meal (you can make it without this but it's a very healthy addition)

How to Make Pumpkin Oatmeal

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Pumpkin Oatmeal in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine the oatmeal, water, milk and vanilla.
  • Step 2
  • Microwave until thick and hot. This may take 5 to 6 minutes more or less depending on your microwave. You can also simmer this on your stove top.
  • Step 3
  • Stir in the pumpkin, brown sugar, flaxseed and pumpkin pie spice.
  • Step 4
  • Mix well and enjoy.
