Ingredients: Quiche Lorraine

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 lean rashers of smoked bacon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 280 ml single cream
  • 150 ml milk
  • 140 grams gruyere cheese grated
  • Grated nutmeg
  • 2 24 cm pastry cases

How to Make Quiche Lorraine

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Quiche Lorraine in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to gas mark 6
  • Step 2
  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan and fry bacon until lightly cook.
  • Step 3
  • Beat eggs and add cream, milk, grated cheese, nutmeg and seasoning.
  • Step 4
  • Stir in half the chopped bacon and pour mixture into two 24cm pastry cases.
  • Step 5
  • Scatter remaining bacon on top of quiche.
  • Step 6
  • Bake for 30 min until filling is set, and golden brown. Remove and allow to cool before removing from the tin.
