Ingredients: Qunioa & Flax Seed Cabbage Rolls

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup instant brown rice
  • 1/4 cup qunioa
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 cup jarred spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt & pepper

How to Make Qunioa & Flax Seed Cabbage Rolls

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Qunioa & Flax Seed Cabbage Rolls in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • I put my cabbage head in the freezer. The day before I wanted to cook I took the cabbage out and let thaw overnight. The leaves are softened and easy to stuff and roll.
  • Step 2
  • Mix together all ingredients except for the cabbage.
  • Step 3
  • Lay out one cabbage leaf and fill with chicken mixture. (I used an 1 oz scoop.) Fold in the sides and roll up tightly.
  • Step 4
  • Mix together spaghetti sauce and water. Place rolls seam side down in baking dish with 1 cup tomato sauce on the bottom. Top with remaining sauce. Bake for 20-25 mins or until cooked through.
