Ingredients: Ranch Mac & Cheese

  • 1 (16oz.) package shell macaroni
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 envelope Ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sugar( to balance out all the salt. Don't add salt until you taste. Also it will taste salty but after you mix it with the macaroni its fine)
  • 2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese mixture
  • 5 oz Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Colby jack

How to Make Ranch Mac & Cheese

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Ranch Mac & Cheese in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook macaroni according to package directions
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, combine milk, butter, dressing mix, garlic salt, pepper and sugar; heat through
  • Step 3
  • Stir in cheddar cheese mixture and Velveeta cheese until melted
  • Step 4
  • Stir in sour cream. Keep this on low until noodles are cooked. It will be a little runny but it will thicken up in the oven
  • Step 5
  • Drain macaroni and let cool for 5 minutes
  • Step 6
  • Add macaroni to cheese sauce and stir until combined
  • Step 7
  • Transfer macaroni and cheese to a greased, 13x9 baking dish. Top with Colby jack cheese. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes
