  • 1 cup Powdered milk
  • 1 liter Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 medium Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Baking powder
  • 3 Shelled & crushed cardamoms
  • 5 Sliced Almonds (optional)
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg powder
  • 1 pinch Saffron
  • 3 Whole cardamoms
  • 5 Sliced pistacchios (optional)

How to Make Ras Malai.

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Ras Malai. in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Pour the milk in a big pan,
  • Step 2
  • Add the sugar, part of the Saffron,+ the whole cardamoms.
  • Step 3
  • Bring the milk to boil.
  • Step 4
  • Meanwhile, combine the milk powder, oil, baking powder, the remainimg saffron, the crushed cardamoms &the egg.
  • Step 5
  • Mix well till it forms a nice dough.
  • Step 6
  • Make small balls out of the dough.
  • Step 7
  • As soon as finished making balls, put them gently in the boiling milk, lower the heat a little, so that the milk doesn't overflow & keep turning them gently, BE CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THEM.
  • Step 8
  • When the balls start rising, lower the heat a little & keep stirring GENTLY. Cook for about 7-8 more minutes.
  • Step 9
  • Remove from heat. Transfer into a serving dish & garnish with sliced almonds & pistacchios.
  • Step 10
  • Refrigerate after cooling it completely. Serve cold.
