  • 2 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 dash sugar crystals

How to Make Rice Cake (Puto)

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Rice Cake (Puto) in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Sift rice flour. Add baking powder. Mix well and set aside.
  • Step 2
  • Cream butter and sugar. Add egg. Add flour mixture slowly, while mixing carefully.
  • Step 3
  • Add evap milk, followed by water. Mix well.
  • Step 4
  • Pour into moulds and steam for about 30 minutes or bake at 300* for 55 mins to an hour, or when inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 5
  • Sprinkle with sugar crystals, or sprinkles of uour choice. Serve cool. Enjoy..
