  • 2 1/2 cup Macaroni, Penne, or Other Pasta
  • 2 1/2 cup Whole Milk
  • 3 cup Grated Mature Cheddar Cheese
  • 3 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Plain Flour
  • 1 tsp English Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 dash Paprika

How to Make Robin's Baked Mac & Cheese

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Robin's Baked Mac & Cheese in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Note: I always double this recipe and it still turns out great.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grate cheese and set aside.
  • Step 3
  • Boil pasta until al dente. Rinse with cool water, place back in pot, and add a little butter to keep from sticking.
  • Step 4
  • Over medium heat melt salted butter in a sauce pan. Add mustard and dry ingredients, stirring for 2 minutes. Pour in milk and whisk for 10 minutes until thickened. Add 2 cups of cheese into the sauce until melted.
  • Step 5
  • Pour sauce over the pasta and stir.
  • Step 6
  • Add half of the pasta to a buttered casserole dish and sprinkle 1/2 cup of cheese on top. Layer the other half of the pasta on top and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of cheese and bread crumbs.
  • Step 7
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until top is bubbling and browned.
