  • 1 half Rutabaga
  • 3 tbsp Shirasu
  • 1 Italian parsley
  • 1 dash Coarsely ground salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 Pink peppercorns (if available)

How to Make Rutabaga Canapé

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Rutabaga Canapé in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Rutabaga is known as "Swiss turnip". Peel it and slice it into about 8 mm thick round slices.
  • Step 2
  • Place it in a silicone steamer or in a microwavable plastic bag, and microwave it for 1 minute 30 seconds.
  • Step 3
  • Add olive oil and the coarsely ground salt and pepper into shirasu and chopped parsley. MIx them well.
  • Step 4
  • Top the sliced rutabagas from Step 2 with the mixture from Step 3. Decorate them with the pink peppercorns.
