Ingredients: Saffron Rice

  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 sprigs fresh dill herbs
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • Enough water to cover rice up to two inches

How to Make Saffron Rice

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Saffron Rice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add all ingredients except lemon zest and lemon juice. Soak at room temp for 24 hours.
  • Step 2
  • Drain and save raining water. Add lemon zest and half sprigs of dill to rice, stir and place in a steam basket.
  • Step 3
  • Add reserved water to the steamer and place the rice to steam for 30 minutes. Once done, turn off steamer and leave rice in it for 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Add lemon juice and dill while fluffing rice with fork, gently. Its ready to serve.
