  • Salisbury steak
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp parsley (dry)
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • gravy
  • 2 cup beef stock
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Salisbury Steak

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Salisbury Steak in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Combine all of the "Salisbury steak" ingredients and mix well by hand.
  • Step 2
  • Form into oblong patties and spray each side with a little cooking oil.
  • Step 3
  • Fry Salisbury steak patties in a pan until cooked and brown on both sides, or bake in the oven at 400 for 20 minutes then flip and continue baking for 10 more minutes.
  • Step 4
  • Mix up gravy by combining beef stock, cornstarch, and butter in a sauce pan and bringing to a boil stirring regularly.
  • Step 5
  • Then add garlic powder, salt and pepper
  • Step 6
  • Continue stirring until thickened slightly and remove from heat.
  • Step 7
  • (Oven prepared option) Place Salisbury steak in a baking dish and pour gravy over patties. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 400.
  • Step 8
  • (Crock Pot option) Place Salisbury steak patties in the crock pot and pour gravy over them. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
