  • 1 pkg Oreos, family size or chocolate crumbs
  • 7 Tbsp butter
  • 3 packs cream cheese
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c heavy cream
  • 1/4 c caramel syrup or 2 Tbsp caramel flavor
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp caramel syrup or 1 Tbsp caramel flavor
  • 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 8 oz heavy cream

How to Make Salted Caramel Cheesecake

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 18 steps you must follow to make Salted Caramel Cheesecake in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Crust: take Oreos apart, scrap filling out and discard. Finely crush cookies
  • Step 2
  • Melt butter and add to oreo crumbs. When well mixed, put crust mix in springform pan. Press evenly on bottom amd 1/2" up sides

  • Put cream cheese and brown sugar in mixer and cream until well blended and fluffy.

  • Pour in pan and bake at 350 until sides are set. Middle will be slightly soft. Remove from oven and cool

  • Put butter, brown sugar and caramel in saucepan.

  • Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Continue to cook until mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes.

  • Remove from heat. Whisk in cream and sea salt. Mix very well. Set aside

  • Ganache:

  • Put chocolate chips in bowl. Place bowl over sauce pan with water. Bring water to boil.
  • Step 14
  • Add cream and stir until chips are all melted.
  • Step 15
  • Assembly:

  • When cheesecake is cooled, add caramel topping and spread evenly.
  • Step 17
  • When caramel topping has cooled slightly, pour ganache over topping and spread evenly.
  • Step 18
  • Let cheesecake cool completely and chill. Remove from pan and cover. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
