  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Katakuriko
  • 1 1/2 The white part of a Japanese leek
  • 1 Vegetable oil
  • Yakitori Teriyaki Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tsp Water

How to Make Salted Chicken Breast, Yakitori Teriyaki Style

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Salted Chicken Breast, Yakitori Teriyaki Style in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Massage in the sake, sugar, and salt in that order. Cut the leek into 3cm-wide pieces.
  • Step 2
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Lightly coat the chicken breasts with katakuriko and add to the pan. Add the leek next to the chicken breasts, cover with a lid and cook.
  • Step 3
  • Once the chicken has browned, turn over the chicken and leek and cook a little more. Add the yakitori sauce you made and slightly boil.
  • Step 4
  • If there's a lot of moisture in the pan please remove it with a paper towel before adding the sauce.
