  • 1 can MILD Rotel (the biggest can)
  • 1 Yellow onion sliced
  • 1/2 Bell Pepper sliced
  • 2/3 stick Salted butter
  • 1 Garlic-fresh cloves minced or garlic powder
  • 1 Seasonings: garlic and onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, a little ole bay, celery flakes
  • 2 packages Smoked sausage. Eckrich farm is the best!!! The only kind I use.
  • 1/4 cup Chicken broth or stock

How to Make Sausage And Rotel Cabbage

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make Sausage And Rotel Cabbage in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut up cabbage, and rinse off. Then slice your sausage in rounds, slice your onion, and bell pepper.
  • Step 2
  • Melt some of the butter in a bigger size pan, and add cabbage, onions, bell pepper and then slice rest of butter and top the cabbage with it. Add some seasonings, and chicken broth/stock And let cabbage cook down some.
  • Step 3
  • Once the cabbage has softened, add Rotel, sausage, and minced garlic if using, and more seasonings. Cover with lid, and put on medium low for a little while.
