  • 8 Banana Peppers (Depending on size)
  • 1 lb Ground Hot or Sweet Italian Sausage
  • 1 cup Ritz Crackers, Crushed
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Garlic, Minced
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Tomato Sauce (Your Choice)
  • 1 Garlic Powder (To Finish)

How to Make Sausage Stuffed Banana Peppers

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 7 steps you must follow to make Sausage Stuffed Banana Peppers in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Wash your peppers and slice a slit from the top of the pepper to the bottom. Don't cut of the top or bottom of pepper! Remove the seeds.
  • Step 2
  • Brown sausage with galic and black pepper.
  • Step 3
  • Crush crackers into fine crumbs. I use a large freezer bag and a rolling pin. Add Parmesan cheese and mix well.
  • Step 4
  • When sausage is cooked, drain and mix with cracker mixture. Add melted butter until JUST MOIST!
  • Step 5
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Pour olive oil, coating evenly, the bottom of your baking dish. Stuff the peppers and place them in your baking dish. Drizzle with a little more olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic powder.
  • Step 6
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until peppers are nice and tender.
  • Step 7
  • Spoon heated tomato sauce over peppers and top with Parmesan cheese. Enjoy! Serve with your favorite pasta or as a delicious appetizer.
