  • 2 lb Broccoli rabe
  • 4 clove Garlic chopped
  • 4 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup Kosher salt
  • 1 Salt & pepper

How to Make Sautéed Broccoli Rabe

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Sautéed Broccoli Rabe in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Fill a large bowl with ice water and set aside
  • Step 2
  • Bring a large stock pot filled with water to a boil. And add a 1/4 cup of salt and the broccoli rabe.
  • Step 3
  • Boil for 3 minutes then drain and shock it in the ice water.
  • Step 4
  • Once cool, drain and spin it dry in a salad spinner or dry it on paper towels.
  • Step 5
  • Chop broccoli rabe into 1/4 inch pieces.
  • Step 6
  • Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. When oil shimmers add the broccoli rabe and sauté stirring constantly with a wooden spoon 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Step 7
  • Add garlic, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste. Sauté for 3 minutes
  • Step 8
  • Plate and serve with a drizzle of olive oil and crusty bread.
