  • 5 medium Potatoes, boiled and sliced
  • 1/3 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup velvet cheese
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder

How to Make Scalloped Potatoes

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Scalloped Potatoes in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Boil potatoes, let cool peel or not and slice as desired a separate bowl.
  • Step 2
  • Add chopped onions and 1tbsp butter in a bowland toss.
  • Step 3
  • In a saucepan blend velvet, sour cream, milk, flour and cream cheese...salt, garlic powder and pepper as needed.
  • Step 4
  • Pour 1/2 of the cheese mixture over potatoes and onions and some of the shredded cheese and toss.
  • Step 5
  • Place everything in baking dish of choice and cover with shredded cheese and top with other 2 tbsp of butter bake for 20 to 30 min or until desired potatoe texture can cover with foil while baking if desired.
