  • 70 grams Butter
  • 100 grams Milk
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 300 grams Cake flour
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 35 grams Sugar
  • 3 grams Salt

How to Make Scones

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Scones in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cut the butter into small pieces. Mix the milk and egg yolk together and set aside.
  • Step 2
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl. Add the butter.
  • Step 3
  • Mix by hand or with a blender until it's crumbly.
  • Step 4
  • Mix in the combined milk and egg in small batches.
  • Step 5
  • When it's no longer floury, lightly knead it together by hand.
  • Step 6
  • Dust on some flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of 1.5 - 2 cm. Cut out the shapes with a cutter or cup.
  • Step 7
  • Bake for 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 200℃, then for 15 minutes at 180℃.
  • Step 8
  • Done.
