Ingredients: Seafood linguini

  • 200 g raw prawns
  • 3 cleaned squid
  • 1 pack passata
  • pinch saffron
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or 2 tbsp fresh oregano
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 shiitake mushrooms
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 pack fresh linguini
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 4 tbsp olive oil

How to Make Seafood linguini

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Seafood linguini in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Chop the garlic and onion finely. Pour a few tbsp of olive oil into a saucepan and add the onion and garlic with the pinch of saffron and a teaspoonful of dried oregano (if you can get fresh oregano use a couple of tbsp instead). Gently sautee until the onion starts to go transparent.
  • Step 2
  • Chop the squid into rings and throw in the saucepan with the onion and herb mixture along with the fresh prawns. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms. Sautee until the prawns go white and pink.
  • Step 3
  • Pour in the passata and add a tablespoon or two of tomato puree. Stir and add a few tbsp of water, taste and add salt and pepper. I usually use about a tsp of each. Gently simmer for about 5 mins.
  • Step 4
  • Serve over fresh cooked linguini or any other pasta of your choice with parmesan flakes and lemon or lime wedges.
