Ingredients: Shepards Pie

  • The Mince
  • 250 grams Mince
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 clove of garlic (chopped)
  • 300 ml boiling water with 1 Veg stock cude
  • dash of Vinegar
  • dash of worcestershire sauce
  • pinch of Parsley
  • pinch of Rosemary
  • pinch of Salt and Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Of flour
  • 1 tbsp Of Sugar
  • Mash
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 50 grams butter
  • dash milk

How to Make Shepards Pie

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 13 steps you must follow to make Shepards Pie in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Brown mince
  • Step 2
  • Add Onion & Garlic
  • Step 3
  • Add Stock cude
  • Step 4
  • Season as preferred. My suggestions are as followed.
  • Step 5
  • Add suger for sweetness & Flour to thicken the sauce.
  • Step 6
  • Either simmer for 20-30 minutes or transfer to slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours
  • Step 7
  • Boil potatoes for 20 minutes or til soft when stabbed with knife.
  • Step 8
  • mash the potatoes till all the limp are gone
  • Step 9
  • Add small amount off milk and some butter.
  • Step 10
  • Mash till smooth and creamy. (the more butter the more creamy)
  • Step 11
  • Put mince evenly in medium size dish
  • Step 12
  • Add mash evenly on top with a small amount off butter onto to make mash crispy
  • Step 13
  • Cook at 190 for 40 minutes or until light brown
