  • 8 oz fresh shiitake mushrooms sliced
  • 1 onion sliced thin
  • 2 large carrots sliced thin
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp. minced ginger
  • 3 cups chopped bok choy
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp. liquid aminos or soy sauce to taste
  • 1 tbsp. fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp. canola oil
  • 4 green onions sliced for garnish

How to Make Shiitake mushroom and bok choy soup

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Shiitake mushroom and bok choy soup in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat oil in pot and cook onion until soft. 3 minutes or so.
  • Step 2
  • Add carrots, ginger and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes.

  • Add mushrooms. Continue cooking for 5 minutes on low heat.

  • Add chicken stock, bok choy and seasonings.( sauces). Cook until bok choy is tender but not mushy. Around 15 minutes on low simmer.
