  • 1 tsp salt and pepper mix
  • 1 good pinch ground nutmeg
  • 4 pieces sundried tomato ,finely chopped (optional)
  • 80 grams about 1 cup,finely grated parmesan cheese.
  • 40 grams about 1/4 cup. fresh basil.ripped
  • 150 grams about 3/4 cup, feta cheese ,crumbled
  • 1 cup milk

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 3 steps you must follow to make sig 's farmhouse spinach plait in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Add the spinach to pan with boiling water,boil for one minute and drain,rinse under cold water drain again,squeeze the water from spinach. Chop finely
  • Step 2
  • Heat butter in pan add leeks and thyme,cook until the leeks are soft,add spinach,cook stiringfor about 5minutes or unti all liquid has evaporated .cool. I add about 4 pieces of sundried tomato finely chopped at this point until spinach and tomato together
  • Step 3
  • Sift flour into medium bowl stir in parmesan,pepper,salt nutmeg ,basil,3/4 of the feta cheese,spinach mixture and just enough milk to a mix a soft ,sticky dough. Turn out onto floured surface and knead until smooth. Divide the dough into 3 pieces, shape into a just over a foot (36cm) sausages .Plait sausages together on a greased tray. Sprinkle with the remaining crumbled feta cheese. Bake in a moderate hot oven for about 40 minutes
