  • 2 medium (400 g) old potatoes, chopped
  • 3 medium kumara ( sweet potato ) chopped
  • 2 small carrots, chopped
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 litre (6 cups) good vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme or half a tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) cream
