  • 3 carrots
  • 2 onions
  • 2 potatoes

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 quart chicken broth OR water
  • 1 apple
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 box Japanese curry roux mix
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce

How to Make Simple Chicken Curry

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 15 steps you must follow to make Simple Chicken Curry in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Rinse chicken and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Step 2
  • Peel and cut the carrots and onions into wedges
  • Step 3
  • Cut the potatoes into 1.5" pieces and soak I water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch

  • Add the honey and salt and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Step 13
  • Add the potatoes and cook 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender
  • Step 14
  • Add the curry roux - break up the block and allow to dissolve. Then add soy sauce, and simmer on low heat until curry becomes thick.
  • Step 15
  • Serve with rice. Store in the fridge for up to three days or in the freezer for up to a month.
