How to Make Simple Homemade Fudge

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 10 steps you must follow to make Simple Homemade Fudge in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Note: adding things like peppermint candies, coconut, peanut butter, etc, add more fun and flavor to your fudge. If you do peppermint candies, try addinng a few drops of peppermint extract for more flavor. Pecans are a good choice, too. Add as little or as much as you like. You can use milk chocolate, white chocolate, or dark chocolate for this. I'm just a sucker for milk chocolate!
  • Step 2
  • Have a 8 or 9 inch pan out, to start. Place waxed paper inside, a have it covering the sides. Doing this first will allow you to be ready when you have to pour the melted fudge.
  • Step 3
  • Place first three ingredients, and salt, (if desired) in a medium saucepan. Heat on medium low. Let sit for about 5-10 seconds before stirring.
  • Step 4
  • Keep stirring. You can't let the chocolate sit there, or else it will burn. This is the hardest part, as you will be giving your arm quite a workout. Keep stirring, making sure to scrape chocolate off of the bottom and sides of the pan. Continue until nearly melted.
  • Step 5
  • Add optional item(s), if desired. Stir until fully incorporated.
  • Step 6
  • Hopefully, you already have the paper and pan situated, so pour the mixture into it, evening it out.
  • Step 7
  • Be sure to lick that pan and spatula clean. You can't let something as good as this go to waste, can you?
  • Step 8
  • Sprinkle optional ingredients, if desired, on top for decoration.
  • Step 9
  • Place pan in the fridge for 1-2 hours, or in the freezer for 20-30 minutes, to set.
  • Step 10
  • Once set, cut into squares, and place in airtight container in the fridge. Or in your mouth. Whichever.
