Ingredients: Simple Jambalaya

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lb andouille sausage, sliced in 1/4" pieces
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes, chopped (I like mine small)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup long grain rice
  • 1 pinch salt &pepper

How to Make Simple Jambalaya

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Simple Jambalaya in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Heat oil in large sauce pan over med-high heat
  • Step 2
  • Add onion, bell pepper and garlic. Saute until tender
  • Step 3
  • Add andouille, tomatoes, broth and rice. Bring to a boil
  • Step 4
  • Reduce heat to low-med and cover. Simmer for 25-30 minutes (or until rice is tender)
  • Step 5
  • Salt & pepper to taste
