  • 1 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 dash cinnamon for garnish (optional)

How to Make skye's berry-licious rice

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make skye's berry-licious rice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • in a small pot add... 1/4 cup water, 1 Tbsp sugar, & 1 cup blueberries. bring to a boil and then reduce heat. simmer slowly until water is reduced by half... stirring gently so as not to crush all the berries.
  • Step 2
  • add the rice and pinch of salt... stirring to incorporate.
  • Step 3
  • add strawberries and the almond milk. cook for just a few more minutes... or until desired consistency. (remember that the longer it cooks, the berries will become mushy. you can always add less almond milk if you do not want it to be of "soupy" consistency)
  • Step 4
  • serve warm or cold. .. sprinkle with cinnamon if you would like.
