  • 5 lb Chicken thighs
  • Poultry Rub
  • 1 tbsp Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp Ground allspice

How to Make Smoked Chicken Thighs

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Smoked Chicken Thighs in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Mix rub and season chicken generously. Wrapped in plastic and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2
  • Set up your grill for Indirect Heat with a drip pan in the middle.
  • Step 3
  • Place chicken thighs on the grill grate over the drip pan. Add a couple of handfuls of wet wood chips. (a fruit wood would give it nice light smokey flavor)
  • Step 4
  • Cook at about 350°F for approximately an hour and a half.
  • Step 5
  • When the internal temperature of the chicken is 170°F remove the grill and allow to cool before serving.
