  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can diced tomatoes and green chiles
  • 1 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1 can baked beans (smokehouse flavor)
  • 1 can cheese soup
  • 1 packages tater tots
  • 1 shredded colby jack cheese (as desired)

How to Make Smokehouse Tater Tot Casserole

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Smokehouse Tater Tot Casserole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to tater tot cooking temp (approx. 425 degrees).
  • Step 2
  • Brown ground beef in a deep skillet. Add onions. Drain.
  • Step 3
  • Add spinach to pan (I shredded mine first, but it may not be necessary to do so). Toss in meat mixture until leaves begin to look wilted.
  • Step 4
  • Add can of tomatoes/chile's, can of cheddar cheese soup and can of baked beans. Mix well.
  • Step 5
  • In large baking dish, pour meat mixture and spread throughout.
  • Step 6
  • Layer top with tater tots. Bake until tots are golden brown (approx. 20-25 minutes).
  • Step 7
  • Sprinkle generous amounts of shredded cheese over the top. Bake again until cheese is melted (3-5 minutes).
  • Step 8
  • Serve! And enjoy!
