  • 1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1/2 cup uncooked white rice
  • 8 large tortillas
  • 1 packages taco seasoning
  • 28 oz red enchilada sauce
  • 1 shredded cheddar
  • 1 sour cream

How to Make Smothered Burritos

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 8 steps you must follow to make Smothered Burritos in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • Step 2
  • Brown and drain ground beef. Add taco seasoning with amount of water specified on package with a little extra water. Bring to a boil.
  • Step 3
  • Add rice and simmer until rice is fully cooked and juice is absorbed.
  • Step 4
  • Add beans to the rice and meat and heat thoroughly
  • Step 5
  • Pour sauce into a 13x9 pan, just enough to cover the bottom of the pan.
  • Step 6
  • Put filling on each tortilla and roll them up. Be sure to tuck the ends before rolling. Place seam side down in the pan.
  • Step 7
  • Cover burritos with remaining sauce and top with cheese.
  • Step 8
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with sour cream. Enjoy!
