  • 6 quart air popped corn (about 1 1/2 C kernels)
  • 1 cup salted butter
  • 2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 30 "fun size" snicker bars coarsely chopped
  • 3 oz melted semi-sweet chocolate (optional)

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 200°
  • Step 2
  • Over medium heat bring butter, brown sugar, salt and corn syrup to a boil. Boil 5 min.
  • Step 3
  • While you mixture is boiling, spread out you popcorn on wax paper covered baking sheets.
  • Step 4
  • Remove mixture from heat and stir in baking soda.
  • Step 5
  • Sprinkle peanuts over popcorn then pour mixture on popcorn evenly. Stir until well coated.
  • Step 6
  • Transfer popcorn to a large roasting pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 min.
  • Step 7
  • Stir every 15 min.
  • Step 8
  • Remove from oven and stir in coarsely chopped Snicker bars.
  • Step 9
  • Return to oven for about 3 min or until snickers melt slightly.
  • Step 10
  • Remove from oven and transfer back to wax paper lined baking sheets. Cool
  • Step 11
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn (if desired)
  • Step 12
  • Let cool and store in airtight container.
