  • 250 grams Strong (bread) flour
  • 20 grams Sugar
  • 4 grams Salt
  • 25 grams Butter
  • 180 grams Milk
  • 3 grams Dry yeast

How to Make Soft Bread Dough

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 9 steps you must follow to make Soft Bread Dough in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Microwave the milk for 30 seconds and bring it to room temperature. Put all the ingredients in a bread machine. Let it do its job until the 1st proofing is done.
  • Step 2
  • When the dough has risen as shown in this photo, the 1st proofing is done.
  • Step 3
  • Punch down the dough to deflate and divide into 8 portions. Place them seamed side down, cover with a moistened and tightly wrung out kitchen towel and rest for 20 minutes.
  • Step 4
  • When the dough has rested, punch down the dough again to deflate. Roll each into a ball and pinch the seams so they are sealed.
  • Step 5
  • Place on a baking tray, leaving spaces in between. Let rise for the second proofing for 20 minutes at 35℃. Preheat the oven to 200℃.
  • Step 6
  • Brush the rolls with beaten egg (not listed), lower the oven temperature to 180℃ and bake for 15 - 17 minutes. And they are done!
