  • 2 lb ground turkey
  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 orange or yellow bell pepper
  • 3 habanero peppers
  • 3 jalapeño peppers
  • 3 tsp chili powder
  • 3 tsp ground red pepper
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 12 oz tomato paste
  • 3 cup corn kernels
  • 2 cup pinto beans
  • 2 cup kidney beans
  • 4 garlic cloves

How to Make Southwest Chili

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 6 steps you must follow to make Southwest Chili in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook ground turkey and pour into crock pot with juice.
  • Step 2
  • BBQ (roasting adds flavor & spiciness)
  • Step 3
  • Cut into medium chunks:

  • Dump all ingredients into crockpot in any order. If canned, include juices.
  • Step 5
  • Cook on high for 5 hours or until bell peppers are no longer crispy. NOTE: Chili may appear too thick at first and will thin as it cooks. Add V8 juice if you like your Chili runny.
