  • 1/2 Burdock root
  • 5 cm Carrot
  • 2 tbsp Miso
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp Sake
  • 1 dash Red chili peppers (sliced into rounds)
  • 1 Ground sesame seeds

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 2 steps you must follow to make Soy Beans, Burdock Root, and Carrots with Miso in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Shave the burdock root and carrots (as if sharpening a pencil with a knife), then set aside. Combine the miso, mirin, and sake, and mix well.
  • Step 2
  • Place the red chili peppers into a sauce pan, heat sesame oil, then sauté the burdock root. When it starts to produce a nice aroma, add the carrots, and sauté until tender. Add the cooked soy beans, coat with oil, add the miso, mirin, and sake, then simmer until the sauce thickens. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to taste.
