Ingredients: Spaghetti Casserole

  • 12 oz. thin spaghetti
  • 1 pound meat (ground, sausage or meatballs)
  • 8 oz. sliced mushrooms
  • 8 oz. melting cheese, like mozzarella
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1-2 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 to taste black pepper

How to Make Spaghetti Casserole

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 19 steps you must follow to make Spaghetti Casserole in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 450F
  • Step 2
  • Brush or spray a 9X13 baking dish
  • Step 3
  • Cook noodles per package instructions to el dente, if the noodles can be done the same time add the meat, that works the best, or you may have to oil them do they don't stick together if the finish first
  • Step 4
  • Slice your mushrooms
  • Step 5
  • Cook your meat I a skillet, if using ground or sausage, you can leave it a little chunky if you want
  • Step 6
  • When your meat is about 3/4 of the way cooked, add your sliced mushrooms
  • Step 7
  • Stir and cook meat/mushrooms until done.
  • Step 8
  • Drain noodles and adds to baking pan
  • Step 9
  • Add meat/mushrooms to noodles, stir together.
  • Step 10
  • If you are using block cheese, cut it in 1/2 inch cubed, pressed the cubes into the noodle mixture for a cheesy surprise add you eat. If using grated/shredded cheese, sprinkle on and mix it in add best you can.
  • Step 11
  • The cubed cheese is the way to go, I just had grated this time.
  • Step 12
  • I like to give a few grinds of black pepper at this point.
  • Step 13
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients together.
  • Step 14
  • Even the noodle mixture out in the baking dish add good add you can.
  • Step 15
  • Pour the tomato mixture evenly over the noodles
  • Step 16
  • Cover the dish, I use foil
  • Step 17
  • Bake for 30 minutes
  • Step 18
  • Uncover and bake for 10 minutes
  • Step 19
  • Let set out for 5 or so minutes to solidify a little. Serve
