  • 2 cup rice
  • 4 cup water
  • 1 can pigeon peas
  • 1 envelope Sazon
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 7 oz sofrito
  • 1/2 cup olives (optional)

How to Make Spanish rice

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 5 steps you must follow to make Spanish rice in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Dice olives into small pieces
  • Step 2
  • Add oil, sofrito, and peas to pot over medium flame. Let simmer for a minute
  • Step 3
  • Add rice, sazon, and olives. Mix well
  • Step 4
  • Once everything is mixed well add the water. Stir until it comes to a boil
  • Step 5
  • reduce heat add lid and complete process as if cooking regular white rice
