  • 8 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 packages chocolate chips

How to Make Spiced Biscotti

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 11 steps you must follow to make Spiced Biscotti in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Step 2
  • Cream butter and sugar together.
  • Step 3
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Step 4
  • Mix in flour, baking powder, and spices until blended and stiff dough forms. Add additional flour if dough is still sticky.
  • Step 5
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone liner.
  • Step 6
  • With floured hands, place dough onto baking sheet. Roll or shape into long rectangle, approximately 12x6 inches.
  • Step 7
  • Bake at 350°F for about 28 minutes. Remove from oven and cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 8
  • Slice into 1" wide pieces, and lengthwise to double the number of pieces, if desired.
  • Step 9
  • Return to baking sheet, placing each piece on one cut side. Bake for another 20 minutes, flipping each piece once halfway through.
  • Step 10
  • Remove from oven and let cool. Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Step 11
  • Once cool, dip bottom of each biscotti in chocolate and place on parchment to set. Drizzle remaining chocolate over the batch.
