Ingredients: Spicy Catfish

  • Rice
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • Fish
  • 4 catfish fillets
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp anise, ground
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger, ground
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup vegetable stock
  • 2 stick scallions
  • 1 corn on cob
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • Veggies
  • 1 tbsp red curry paste
  • 1 onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1/4 yellow pepper
  • 1/4 orange pepper
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 4 thai peppers

How to Make Spicy Catfish

If you have prepared the ingredients needed, now time to start cooking. There are 4 steps you must follow to make Spicy Catfish in your home by yourself.

    Step 1
  • Cook rice
  • Step 2
  • Season fish..heat pan on med high...add oil...add fish...cook for two minutes. Flip fish. After one minute add butter and baste for another minute...remove fish from pan.
  • Step 3
  • chop veggies however you like...add hard veggies to same hot pan...sautee for 1-2 minutes...add garlic...once fragrant then add paste...mix good then add stock and reduce by half...add fish back in along with scallions and corn kernels.
  • Step 4
  • Add rice to plate and lay fish on top.
